About this deal

In the meantime, I'm looking in the cupboard at home because I fancy I put a really great story in there several years ago.

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Maura, the Ryan clan’s youngest and only daughter, is the last person anyone expects to take on gangland London. I am looking forward to reading the sequel and I have also downloaded four other Cole novels which I cant wait to get started on! Other cancelled products: If you want to cancel products that are not damaged or incorrectly supplied, then you must inform us of this within seven working days following the date of receipt in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations or otherwise as soon as possible. No one thinks a seventeen year old girl can take on the hard men of London's gangland, but its a mistake to underestimate Maura Ryan: she's tough, clever and beautiful - and she's determined that nothing will stand in her way.Sadly this is the second review I'm writing for a disappointing book which has received mainstream popularity. The police are determined to put Maura away once and for all and not everyone in the family thinks that's such a bad idea. The saga spans 30 years and contains all the elements of a typical mobster family: Protection rackets, sleazy Soho nightclubs, gold bullion heists, violent criminals and bloody and brutal exterminations.

She confides in her mother about her pregnancy and afraid of her being a single parent, Sarah arranges for a backstreet abortion (as abortion was still illegal in the UK at the time) who scrapes the baby out of Maura but the botched operation results in Maura’s ovaries becoming infected and removed so she can never have children again. A four-part TV adaptation of Dangerous Lady was broadcast on ITV in 1995, and in 1998 ITV broadcast a four-part adaptation of The Jump. DANGEROUS LADY was adapted for television in 1995, starring Susan Lynch, Jason Isaacs and Owen Teale. Sadly all the other of Cole's books I've read since, maybe 2 0r 3 of them, have been pretty much identical, full of cold-hearted vicious thugs with no redeeming features so I don't read them anymore.

What Maura goes through in the beginning with her policeman boyfriend then realising that she wants the relationship to continue but he dumps her as she is a Ryan ! An ok read if you like MC, again very much like most of her other novels; the Irish Catholic IRA connection, the young man wanting to be a face, the sexual element and the strong female lead. When I was a teenager, but I still greatly think of this book and I'll never read it again, because I want to keep it perfect in my memory just as well as I keep Diogenes Alejandro Xenos (Dax) from Robbins' 'The Adventures' untouched in my childhood memories.

A stage version of Dangerous Lady opened at the Theatre Royal Stratford East, London, [2] her third to be presented at the Royal Stratford, to positive reviews. There's a World of books to choose from such as: Children's Books, Range includes Baby Books (0-3), Books for Toddlers (3-5), Early Readers (5-7), Childrens Story books (7-11), Young Teens (11-14), Young Adults (14-16) and Childrens Educational Books. If a refund is payable to you we will process the refund as soon as possible, and, in any case within fourteen (14) days. The endless details of insignificant acts or the sudden backstory of a character that paragraphs later would be wiped from the story only added to the long drawn out nothingness that this book built towards.

The police are determined to put away Maura once and for all - and not everyone in the family think that's such a bad idea. I found myself laughing at the witty sayings and descriptions she has a clever way of describing people and things. When it comes to the crunch, Maura has to face the pain of lost love in her past - and the dangerous lady discovers her heart is not made entirely of stone. The first half of the book focuses mostly on Michael Ryan’s rise as he becomes king of the London Underworld and slowly his younger siblings get drawn into working in a life of crime as Michael’s heavies and during this half Maura is only a child. Anyway one day when she was at work I snuck into her room to read about it and came across my first F-Bomb in print which makes me laugh when I think about it today and the amount of bad language we see these days in print and on TV.
